| Schudaben Kodies Kid UD was an obedience dog, house dog, and pleasure hunting hound who also participated in all of Mable’s outdoor activities starting from his first days as a 6 week old pup. Ben grew into a hot nosed coonhound who could put his nose into the wind and zero into a coon on the ground a quarter mile away. His fast trees spoiled his owner and no matter what the season Mable always had something to out in the woods, cornfields and wilderness. Ben developed into a classy working obedience dog who enjoyed working and showing in the obedience ring. In 1994 he obtained OTCH points for a 2nd placement in Utility B and thus earned an invitation to AKC’s 1st National Invitational Obedience Championship in St Louis on June 17 & 18 1995. At the Invitational, Ben was awarded third in the Hound Group proudly representing our breed at this inaugural event |
